i grew up in the area & used to ice skate at rogell. the outdoor rink was on a flooded patio down the hill behind the clubhouse. there was no refrigeration & they had an ice brushing machine. the outdoor structure was built out of wood & there was a wood stair way down to the rink. is it possible to have outdoor ice skating at rogell again? on a low budget?

i went to the rink as a child & remember music playing (maybe the monkees?) & hot coco for @5 cents. i do not recall if you had to bring your own skates or if there was a skate rental. i think an opportunity for outdoor open skating at the park would be wildly popular!
