Will there be something done about flooding on the grass after the rain
Jeff Klein - City of Detroit
54:56
We can def. look into it. Please let us know any specific locations.
George Etheridge
56:43
Will there be any parking provided close to the south play lot for the ADA accessible play area to make it more convent for residents with physical impairments?
Steven
59:45
Are the costs amounts shown on the high end? Also, is there consideration for community clean up projects to reduce the high costs for clearing the fence line?
Eric Dueweke
01:01:03
@George and Jeff--couldn't we designate barrier-free spots on Canyon to facilitate access? Rather than paving over more green space
Jonathan Scott - Councilmember Johnson's Office
01:01:10
Will there be play equipment for different ages of kids? Such as a section for toddlers that separates them from other children
Jeff Klein - City of Detroit
01:02:02
Def. would consider community cleanup!
Jeff Klein - City of Detroit
01:03:22
Playgrounds are generally designed/regulated for 2-5yrs range and 5-12 yrs. Yes we consider all age groups.
Briana Mason
01:05:19
I’m excited about the idea of accessible pathways to the play areas, as a mom it’s hard roll the stroller through grass. Is there a way that Morningside Neighborhood Community Organization can utilize the park for potential programming annually?
brian bike Tech
01:05:38
Lets get and keep the trees TRIMMED
brian bike Tech
01:06:22
I find with more trash cansavailable they get used more
Jeff Klein - City of Detroit
01:06:49
@ Eric We certainly will look at Barrier free on Canyon. It is great if everyone can play together
brian bike Tech
01:07:22
I agree with JIM
Eric Dueweke
01:12:16
Tree trimming an issue in many Detroit parks.Motor City Grounds Crew is based in MorningSide and they are already a GSD vendor
Jeff Klein - City of Detroit
01:12:22
What would you like to see done with the nature area?
Mike
01:13:04
It would be nice to have some signage honoring the war hero and Cornerstone resident Remi Balduck for who the park was named.
Steven
01:13:55
Regular clean up of the nature area would be great. It's fenced but seems forgotten at times.

I wanted to say thank you to BCBSM for the support in being able to improve the park! And, thank you for giving thought to addressing the screening along Radnor. The brush behind properties on Radnor have been an eyesore and a challenge for the residents.

The Balduck Park webpage will be updated: https://detroitmi.gov/departments/parks-recreation/parks/balduck-park
Jeff Klein - City of Detroit
01:23:21
I do not think we'll be able to resolve the water issue... it appears to be naturally occurring and managing itself. I assume it has been flooding for a long time but would love to learn more. I think naturalizing it / educational was a great acknowledgement of something added value we can do to the space.
C. Laster
01:24:31
Latisha, BCBSM is proud to participate in improving our community in any way we can. Thank you for having us.
